The Society’s annual journal, The Irish Genealogist, was issued a few days ago. It is another terrific edition under its current editor, Dr David Butler.
The contents include, among other things:
A transcript of the marriage register of Limerick Church of Ireland Cathedral, 1826-1842;
Articles on:
The pilot families of Bulloch harbour, Dalkey, Co. Dublin;
The search for Mary Lonergan (Cork Union workhouse);
The Wray and Stewart families of Ards, Co. Donegal (1700-1930);
Report on the Relief Fund for the Poor Law Electoral Division of Monart, Co. Wexford, 1846 (census substitute);
The Phayer family and their association with Goodwin & Co., earthenware business in Limerick city;
The use of Vestry Books in family history research;
The Power O’Shee family of Gardenmorris, Co. Waterford.
