DNA testing

    How do other members cope when a male relative refuses to take a Y DNA test?
    I am particularly frustrated because that cousin suggested I take up Genealogy in the first place.
    He is the only male relative in England (where I live) to test – unless there are any descendants of my great uncle Lawrence who died in Kanturk in 1950.

    Grin and bear it until you can find another volunteer. It is worse when you have a close match on FTDNA and that person ignores emails!
    Delve into the Kanturk line- the death cert for that g.uncle will show his marital status, so if married/widower there is a possibility of children. There is a Facebook group for North Cork Genealogy – posting there might bring up some info.
