Thomas Roland together with wife Mary McDonough (both of Co Mayo)and child Bridget travelled on the Albatross and arrived in Australia 30 Nov 1842. (Australia NSW. index to Bounty Immigrants 1828-1842) ‘ Has under his protection, sister in -law Elizabeth MacDonough ans 3 sisters named Sawyer & Catherine Quinn all known to him from infancy.

Notice in the Sydney Morning Herald 28 Oct 1862 ‘ If this should meet the eye of Mr Thomas Rowland son of Sir Thomas Rowland who lived at Grouse Hill Co Mayo he will hear of his brother Anthony Rowland by addressing to Mr A Abrahams Storekeeper of Stoney Creek Burrangong’ I have traced Thomas Rowland and his wife and child who married Laurence Murphy from Athlone. However I am interested in finding this Anthony
