Ireland Branch AGM & Spring Lecture

The Ireland Branch AGM & Spring Lecture took place last Saturday, 18th April at the Dublin City Library and Archive on Pearse Street in Dublin 2.

The AGM was well attended.  The agenda included reports from Honorary Secretary, Claire Bradley, and the Honorary Treasurer, Edward Rowland.  The Honorary Chairperson, Máire Mac Conghail, gave an address covering the highlights of the genealogical year.  The Open Day will be held on 23rd May – full details here.  The Summer Outing will be held on 20th June, with details available soon.  Máire also spoke of plans to hold a lecture in Cork later this year – arrangements to be announced closer to the time.

Following the AGM, Mr Liam Clare gave a fascinating talk on Loughlinstown Workhouse (in the registration district of Rathdown).
