This year the IGRS is doing something a little bit special instead of our traditional Autumn lecture. Many of our members have begun to dip their toes into the growing field of DNA testing. Popular writer Sinéad McCoole joins the Ireland Branch over Zoom for a talk about the role of women in the War of Independence. Sinéad is the author of several books including Easter Widows, which focused on the wives and partners of those men who were killed for their part in the 1916 Easter Rising, and No Ordinary  Women, on revolutionary women, and a biography of Lady Lavery, the influential society wife of Sir John Lavery.
