About the Oldcastle and Moylagh Index

This is an index was created by our webmaster Nick Reddan FIGRS and is of two manuscripts in the National Library of Ireland Mss 5749 and 5750. They appear to be contemporaneous with the 1851 Census and have slightly different information. Their purpose appears to be to assist the landlords managing their tenants.

Logged on members can do a full search where they get detailed record information together and can view images of the manuscript. Guests only get the number of records satisfying their criteria.

In addition, the full results include a flag when the name and land combination is in Griffith Valuation.
