Those wishing to commission a professional genealogist should visit the website of the Accredited Genealogists Ireland (AGI). AGI acts as a regulating body to maintain high standards amongst its members and to protect the interests of clients. Its members are drawn from every part of Ireland and represent a wide variety of interests and expertise. The National Library of Ireland also maintains a list of researchers.
