The Irish Genealogist Databases
In October 2013, the Society launched an online names index to its annual journal. The upload covers the years 1937 to 2009, creating a database of enormous potential for all Irish genealogists. You can access it, free, at The Irish Genealogist Database. This may be searched by given name and/or surname and returns a link to our shop where you can purchase individual articles. Anyone purchasing an article will be able to download instantly after purchase. Some articles have a zero cost.
Over the years we have developed other finding aids.
Finding articles
If you have a reference to an article or author published in the TIG we have developed another database of articles and authors. This may be searched in a number of ways and also returns a link to our shop where you can purchase individual articles.
A richer index including names, places and more
More recently our webmaster (Nick Reddan) and a volunteer (Daniel O'Leary) have compiled a new index for the TIG from 2008. In addition to names this index includes places, institutions, events and more. The coverage at the moment is 2008 through 2015 plus a few entries from 2021.
