The Irish Genealogist Databases and CD
In October 2013, the Society launched an online names index to its annual journal. The launch upload runs to a quarter of a million names and covers the years 1937 to 2001, creating a database of enormous potential for all Irish genealogists. You can access it, free, in the Unique Resources section of the website.
Only six months later in March 2015, the Society launched a separate enhanced database which linked index entries to scanned images of the articles they were drawn from. Volume 10 of the Journal, covering the years 1998-2001, can be accessed freely by all (see link above right). Subsequent volumes will be made available in the Members’ Area.
In 2005 a complete set of The Irish Genealogist for the years 1937 – 1993 was made available on CD from Eneclann. Members may receive a discount on the usual price.
