Towards the end of each month, IGRS Members receive the Society's monthly eBulletin. The August edition has just been published containing lots of news and updates from the world of Irish genealogy.
- From Roots Ireland, there's a new items on parish register entries from Counties Armagh, Clare, Fermanagh, Kerry and Mayo; Hearth Money Rolls (1662) and landholders (1709) from Co. Armagh;
- Parish register indexes and headstone inscriptions for counties Clare, Cork, Dublin, Limerick and Tyrone, all from those industrious folk at Ireland Genealogy Projects Archives;
- The 1912 Ulster Covenant (containing over half a million names of subscribers) has been re-indexed by Ancestry.com;
- There's news of an index containing 76,437 entries relating to 3,000+ German Palatines who migrated to Ireland, 1654-1878;
- Scans going online from wartime British and Irish Jewish newspapers: The Jewish Chronicles and The Jewish Echo;
- Galway Digital Mapping Project for Connemara has mapped seven graveyards in Ballinakill, Renvyle, Tooreena, Salrock, Letterfrack Boys Cemetery, Banogues, and St Thomas;
- Ancestry.com adds burial record databases: DiscoverEverAfter.com; and Meath & Kildare Graveyard Collection, 1554-2014, holding 11,961 entries from the two counties;
- Accredited Genealogists Ireland (AGI) advertises its Open Day and Workshop for those interested in accreditation as a professional genealogist.
