Since 2010 'Ireland Reaching Out' has been connecting people of Irish descent with their places of origin in Ireland. It has evolved into a global community of more than 150,000 members and has developed an innovative online platform that helps people all over the world to document, preserve and share information about their Irish heritage.
Laura Colleran has been working with Ireland Reaching Out since 2015, and has seen it become one of Ireland's largest diaspora engagement networks. An ex-member of the Irish diaspora herself, and with a background in marketing and digital media, she is passionate about developing innovative ways to help people connect with their place of origin in Ireland and to discover more about their Irish heritage.
