Annual membership entitles you to:

• A digital copy of the Society’s annual journal, The Irish Genealogist, published in Spring each year. Print copies will be made available for sale.
• Our Newsletter, also distributed digitally twice yearly, which brings news about the Society, genealogical updates and notes about items in the Society’s archival collection.
• A monthly e-bulletin packed with up-to-date news about the world of Irish genealogy (see sample IGRS eBulletin).
• Access to many indexes, lists and transcripts of records available only to members, referencing many thousands of names
• Online talks hosted by the Ireland Branch via Zoom. These are chargeable to non-members. Recordings are made available to members only free of charge
• Special offer of a 1-year subscription to Irish Roots Magazine for €35 (usual price €40) alongside the first year of your Irish Genealogical Research Society membership. Subsequent years will be the full amount. See Irish Roots Magazine
• Enjoy special offers on book sales and specially-negotiated member-only discounts for website subscriptions – for instance, one of our current offers allows IGRS members a 20% discount on annual subscriptions to Ancestry.com. See here for more details

By joining the IGRS you become part of a friendly and active society whose members are keen to facilitate and encourage the sharing of knowledge and expertise in Irish genealogical research.

Subscription Rates and Joining Offers

The membership year runs for twelve months from the date you join. Subscription rates are €30 for members in Ireland and £26 for members across the rest of the world

The list for the annual journal, The Irish Genealogist, will be compiled at the end of December each year. Members will receive a digital copy of The Irish Genealogist. Printed copies will be made available at an additional cost.

Non-Members

Non-members have access to some searches and information pages for free. All online talks are chargeable at €5 to non-members.
