Nick Reddan is the IGRS webmaster and is an expert on the historical archives held by the Registry of Deeds, located in Dublin's Henrietta Street. He is currently on a visit to Ireland from his native Australia and the Society is delighted to have the opportunity to hear him speak on this important topic. The Registry of Deeds remains a much underutilised resource for Irish family history. Nick is the creator and main force behind the volunteer-led Registry of Deeds Index Project Ireland, which is transcribing and indexing the early memorials (deeds) to make them more accessible.
