These case studies illustrate how both types of DNA test can help you break through the Brick Walls in your own family tree.
Dr Gleeson is a distinguished genetic genealogist and academic. He has extensive knowledge and expertise in the field of genetic genealogy. In 2016 he was awarded the honorary title of Education Ambassador, ISOGG (International Society of Genetic Genealogy) in recognition of his educational and advocacy work in the field of genetic genealogy. In 2021 he was appointed Honorary Research Fellow in the Department of Genealogical Studies, University of Strathclyde.
Maurice is a regular contributor to genealogy magazines, authors several blogs associated with his DNA Projects, and has a popular YouTube channel devoted to genetic genealogy.
The talk was originally presented to the Ireland Branch of the Society in October 2022, when it was very well received. It is now released for all members to view by kind permission of Dr Gleeson.
